A proud black, trans, queer man, Avery Marshall hails from the heartland of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Avery is a melodic singer-songwriter who, while weaving tales of the human experience, loves to get an ear-worm stuck in your head. Some have said his music is a mix of Death Can For Cutie, Tracy Chapman, and Jack Johnson.
Drawing inspiration from personal experiences with queerness, heartbreak, loss, and triumph, Avery's songs echo the universal themes that everyone understands. We’re all spinning on this rock trying to make sense of it all, might as well sing a song.
